Vickie Carr is an award-winning journalist who also writes fiction. She graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Magazine Journalism and English. She then spent a year living in London where she earned a M.A. in Creative Writing from Antioch University. She did post-graduate work in the Radcliffe Seminars for Advanced Fiction.
Vickie's short stories have appeared in various literary magazines. She is the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for her work at NPR. She has taught creative writing, literature, and journalism at numerous colleges—most recently at the University of Rhode Island. She has been named in Who's Who of American Women
She lives by the sea in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts with her husband, her teenage son, and her cat. She has just finished her first YA novel, "The Secret of Enchantment," and is currently seeking a publisher.
